About New Edge Design

New Edge Design was formed in early 2003. Sam Moncrieff, owner of Moncrieff Construction, has been in the concrete industry since 1974. Sam founded Moncrieff Construction in 1992 and three years later his son, Mike Moncrieff, began working for him. Mike eventually became superintendent of the flatwork division. Artistic and creative as a child, Mike discovered his true passion for art through concrete in early 2003. Sam, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit and his sons’ undeniable talent, ventured into the decorative concrete industry. From concrete countertops & fireplaces, to furniture and wall tiles, to unbelievable showers and integrated sinks, the designs that Mike creates are truly works of art.

As a nationally recognized and multi award-winning artist, Mike readily rises to any challenge. The more difficult the piece, the more passionate he becomes. Constantly experimenting, Mike continues to create new ways to give each individual job its own unique and innovative edge.

In 2007, Sam recognized the need, in the concrete industry, for local concrete floor grinding and polishing professionals. Through proper training and equipment purchasing, Moncrieff Construction started their newest chapter. Today, with IPCI certified technicians and an array of impressive machines and products, no job is too big or small.
